Here at Freckle, our mission is to ensure that every student gets a world-class education.

We believe that students do their best learning when teachers can reach them at their individual levels. Yet, most teachers are only provided with resources that teach to one specific level.

To overcome this, teachers work nights and weekends to find the perfect piece of content for each of their students. Then, during the day, they work with their classes in small groups so they can personalize their instruction as best they can.

Teachers are doing this all on their own and they deserve our help!

That’s why, at Freckle, we’re passionate about providing teachers with the resources and data they need to teach all of their students at the level that’s best for them.

As of today, we reach nearly 9 million students across 35% of American schools and, with your help, we’re excited to make an even larger impact.

We're looking to have a full-time curriculum designer join our team! Curriculum designers work on various parts of the program, including:

  • Writing new math questions for the content database, along with improving old questions
  • Creating performance tasks and assessments
  • Writing high-interest English Language Arts articles with leveled comprehension questions and writing prompts
  • Developing creative Social Studies/Science units and activities
  • Working with other members of the curriculum team to discover, build, and implement new features and improvements to our program
  • Collaborating with engineers and the product team to make improvements to the student & teacher sides of the program

You’ll join an effective team that plans, executes, and reflects together. Since we’re a small team, everything you create will go into production and be used by students, teachers, parents, and school personnel. You will never do unimportant work: every contribution will make a clear and tangible impact on the company’s trajectory. Your personal success will be directly aligned with that of the company.

Most importantly, your work will have purpose: Freckle is a mission-driven company that takes pride in making a significant impact in the lives of millions of students.
