Curriculum Coordinator - Math and Science

240 Tutoring - Remote - Full time

Does your love of math and science cause you to radiate trivia to your friends? Are you energetic and enjoy multiple tasks each day? Do you tend to obsess about tasks being done properly? Do you think solutions made with a team will be better than what any one person can create? If so, you might be just what we are looking for!

You will own the math and science curriculum bank and all aligned study guides. You will coordinate the development of curriculum (study materials, videos, flashcards, questions, and other learning objects). You will also hire and manage a team of contract authors and ensure their efficient and effective work.

  • Maintain an internal roadmap of the math and science study guides we are publishing
  • Become the internal expert on the scope and style of each math and science exam we support
  • Oversee the completion of math and science curriculum, including working directly on it as needed
  • Evaluate, hire, and manage a team of contract authors as needed
  • Provide feedback to UX and Tech team on application improvements to internal CMS and external study application
  • Provide pedagogical and content knowledge expertise when needed, such as responding to customer-submitted potential errors
  • Contribute to other curriculum projects and materials as time permits

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years teaching middle or high school math or science
  • Familiarity with all on-level high school level math subjects (algebra I and II, geometry, pre-calculus)
  • Familiarity with all on-level high school level science subjects (biology, chemistry, and physics)
  • Eligibility to work within the US as a W2 employee
  • Access to a remote working area (we are 100% remote, always)
  • Ability to start in June (end of your current teaching contract)

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience in educational technology and/or traditional educational publishing
  • Fluency in all on-level high school level math subjects (algebra I and II, geometry, pre-calculus)
  • Fluency in all on-level high school level science subjects (biology, chemistry, and physics)
  • Familiarity with LaTeX and HTML
  • Ability to start in April (two weeks notice)

Apply if your friends describe you as:

  • A math and science nerd with excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey their passion and knowledge
  • Likes to understand and provide detailed support in projects; excels with detail-heavy activity
  • A wizard at keeping documents organized with a lightweight but powerful method
  • Excited to help others with their questions about Google apps and project tools
  • A change-maker in the education space

If this sounds appealing, come join our 100% remote company! This position has very competitive pay with the option of medical and retirement savings benefits. Because the team is small, we don’t have the larger benefits of a mid-to-large corporation. But, for the right candidate, our super awesome team, a competitive salary, and potential for growth more than make up for this.

NOTE: Applications due Monday, March 22
