CodeMonkey Studios - Remote - Part time

CodeMonkey is looking for a freelancer in game development and education to develop monthly courses for children that teach game creation using block programming and fundamental coding concepts. Each month, we select a specific day or holiday as the game's theme and build a short course that guides children in constructing the game. The course content is designed specifically for children in elementary and middle school.

Responsibilities:

  1. Build a sample game and select the month's topic.
  2. Plan the course by dividing the game creation into small tasks.
  3. Write the course content, including explanations and tasks students need to solve.
    • The required programming level is for coding the game, as the children's skill level.

What you need to know/have:

  1. Experience in instructional design.
  2. Familiarity with the gaming world.
  3. Experience in teaching coding fundamentals (advantageous).
  4. CS degree (advantageous).
  5. Ability to work independently.
  6. Strong communication skills.
