Content Marketing Manager

In our pursuit of positively transforming the social-emotional well-being of 100 million children annually by 2028, Committee for Children is looking for an experienced content marketing manager to join our growing team! In this role, the content marketing manager participates in the creation of marketing and communications content related to our current and new program and product offerings and our organizational brand, Committee for Children (CFC). This position is an integral player on teams that improve brand awareness and community engagement, drive top-of-funnel leads for sales efforts, launch new products, and help increase customer loyalty.

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Making content strategy recommendations by exploring and championing new opportunities for content sharing, amplification, and distribution to reach untapped audiences and deepen brand relationships with current stakeholders
  • Overseeing all aspects of product-related content management and specifically producing content for blog, social media properties, customer e-newsletters, and our organizational websites, cfchildren.org and secondstep.org
  • Managing the development and workflow of a content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience and drives high engagement across all channels
  • Serving as project manager and hub of content creation for internal creative staff, contributors, and key stakeholders, actively communicating content marketing recommendations, soliciting input, and managing work through to completion
  • Monitoring quality and consistency of CFC content across multiple platforms
  • Working with other Marketing and cross-functional team members, collaboratively evolving systems and processes to help set up multiple players for success in publishing and executing plans for content
  • Maintaining adherence to brand standards and monitoring for tone of voice and on-brand language in our content
  • Analyzing and reporting on the success of content-driven initiatives and providing recommendations for changes and improvements
  • Participating as a positive, engaged, and integral player on cross-functional teams such as PR/Communications, Policy & Advocacy, and Educational Partnerships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, English, or related field
  • Five years of experience in content management strategy and production
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams of contributors and subject-matter experts to pull together recommendations for various teams’ approval and then implement plans
  • Proficiency with editorial calendar tools (such as Divvy HQ), content management systems (Contentful and WordPress preferred), marketing automation systems (Marketo), social media analytical tools, SEO, graphic/UX design
  • Demonstrated success in creating content for a complex industry and/or product or service. K–12 education industry knowledge a plus
  • Experience managing complex projects on schedule within a matrix organization
  • Creative with excellent written communication skills
  • Skilled at cross-team collaboration and communication in a fast-paced environment
