The Content Manager will facilitate the development of educational resources used by millions of parents, teachers, and kids. They’ll work with a great team of remote freelancers. We are looking for someone to join us full-time at our San Mateo, CA office.


  • Managing remote freelance graphic designers and/or editors
  • Collaborating with curriculum and graphic designers to develop new content
  • Publishing new downloadable content to the site
  • Fixing downloadable content, primarily PDFs
  • Creating downloadable content, as it relates to specific projects
  • Being the point-person for content-related issues, working with the customer service team, and reporting to the executive team
  • Contributing to content development brainstorms and improvements
  • General copywriting and copyediting
  • Maintaining the content calendar

Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Strong, editorial attention to detail
  • Passion for problem-solving - this includes being highly organized and proactive
  • Technical abilities should include formal training or professional-level experience using graphic design software, preferably Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or a comparable product. We do use Adobe products, so candidates need to be proficient.
  • Strong writing abilities
  • Good researching tactics
  • Knowledge of SEO is a plus but not as necessary as an interest and willingness to learn. SEO best practices are layered into all of our content publishing processes which makes on-the-job training straightforward.
  • Experience teaching or tutoring kids is a plus
  • Familiarity with AP Style is a plus
