PowerMyLearning is a national non-profit that leverages technology to strengthen the learning relationships among students, teachers, and families so that all students can succeed. Our work fosters growth in teachers as instructional leaders, in parents as support partners, and in students as learners who can meet the challenge of high academic standards. We partner with schools, districts, and after-school hubs to provide teachers with coaching and students and parents with devices and training. Underlying our work is our free web platform, PowerMyLearning Connect, already in use in more than 40% of school communities nationwide. The Content Associate will be a key member of the Content team, responsible for implementing plans for editing, tagging, publishing, and quality assurance of educational content on PowerMyLearning Connect. S/he will report to the Director of Content.


  • Work with Director of Content and Content Manager to implement plans that reflect PowerMyLearning's quality standards, content specifications, and
  • instructional design priorities
  • Play a key role in editing, tagging, reviewing, and deploying content on the PowerMyLearning Connect platform, including providing final copy edits and image thumbnails for all content, and ensuring accurate standards alignment and other content metadata
  • Support other staff and consultants in writing and editing content for internal and external audiences as needed

  • Strong follow-through and ability to be self-directed
  • High level of comfort working collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Proficiency working with spreadsheets, Google Drive, and content management systems
  • At least 2 years' experience in education, digital learning, educational publishing, online content management, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area


  • Strong knowledge of style guidelines such as those by APA and/or Chicago Manual
  • Strong knowledge of Common Core State Standards, especially for English Language Arts
  • Working knowledge of digital learning landscape, especially open educational resources (OER)
  • K-12 teaching experience, preferably in grades 3 8


Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. PowerMyLearning also offers medical and dental insurance with an employee contribution.
