Community Manager

Autodesk (Instructables + Tinkercad) - Multiple Locations - Full time

Come join our K12 youth team at Autodesk and help lead our efforts to connect with STEM teachers in the classroom using Tinkercad, Instructables, and Fusion 360. In this role you will be the primary point person for teacher focused community activities, engagement, and outreach. This includes but is not limited to; content creation/curation, webinars, standards alignment, primary research & insights, events, and online moderation. This is a new position, and you get to play a role in shaping the direction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years in an education community engagement role (or similar)
  • Proficient in developing/tracking metrics for online activity, page views, community activity
  • Seamless knowledge and use of social media communications platforms such as Twitter/Facebook/Tumblr/Pinterest/Instagram
  • Familiarity with education standards, and curriculum
  • Ability to identify and curate timely instructional content that speaks to educators
  • Strong understanding of the K12 EdTech marketplace
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to identify opportunities and execute independently
  • Willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on classroom experience
  • Passion for education, making, and design
  • An education-focused social media presence
  • Proficient in 3D design and 3D printing software such as Tinkercad and Fusion 360
  • Technical background a major plus (such as an engineer, developer, hacker, coder, tinkerer)
  • Photography and video skills a plus
