Community Advocacy Marketing Manager (Remote)

About the Role:

The Community Advocacy Marketing Manager drives company evangelism for DreamBox team members and customers through programming and communications. They will play a key role in brand advocacy, customer engagement, and referral marketing.

Competitive candidates will have a passion for storytelling and will be at the forefront of finding ways to elevate awareness of the impact of DreamBox Learning through sharing the voices and experiences of educators and team members. A customer service and collaborative mindset, combined with an understanding of school district dynamics and K-12 education will be assets to this role.

The Community Advocacy Marketing Manager will be the expert on where DreamBox users and prospective customers gather online, and identify engagement opportunities & strategies. This role will work closely with marketing, customer, and sales team members leading cross-functional collaboration to identify success stories, organize customer competitions, advocacy programs, event giveaways/promotions, and organizational partnerships.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Define customer advocacy strategy and identify marketing activities within customer lifecycle to drive engagement and evangelism. This strategy will include how to activate our owned channels (social, web), paid channels, customer community development, and user competitions.
  • Champion our branded store and define employee advocacy programming to inspire our employees to be our best storytellers at scale.
  • Be our storyteller-in-chief - Identify key education spokespersons to be highlighted in thought leadership. Lead the collection of customer success stories, articles, online reviews, testimonials, and case studies for relatable peer examples in video and written formats.
  • Lead the interview of customers and collect data to support the development of written content in collaboration with marketing editor(s). Moderate webinars featuring district leaders.
  • Measure advocacy activities and evaluate success criteria.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, or similar field; Master’s degree a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, customer success, media, or similar role required
  • 3+ years of experience working with educators or working as an educator required
  • A passion for building community, both online and in person. Social media community management experience a plus. Video creation a plus.
  • Ability and aptitude to design and implement an effective marketing strategy
  • Strong ability to effectively position and frame information.
  • Strong ability to facilitate conversations and comfort being on camera to lead webinars with SMEs
  • Capability to oversee, manage, and execute projects across marketing disciplines
  • Legally authorized to work in the US

Location: Remote, must be located in the US

Compensation and Benefits:

Expected base salary range for this position is $69,630 – $96,680 USD annually based on several factors, including experience and geography. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus or sales commission bonus, depending on the role, and benefits that are designed to support you & your family. If you are hired at DreamBox Learning, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on considerations such as geographic location, skills, responsibilities of the role, education, and/or relevant experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the compensation of our current team members as a part of evaluating and extending any final offer.
