Collaboratory seeks an experienced, highly motivated, detail-oriented Sales Representative to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base in the higher education sector.
As the Collaboratory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities, managing the Collaboratory sales pipeline, and achieving revenue targets. The Collaboratory Sales Representative will report to the Director of Institutional Success. This job is fully remote.
Responsibilities:
Negotiate and close deals with institutions of higher education, working the sales pipeline and shepherding the procurement process with all future customers
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Generate and organize new opportunities for product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective customers within the Collaboratory sales pipeline
Maintain Collaboratory’s CRM (Salesforce)Ensure the accuracy of sales reporting and provide forecasts for future revenue and consolidation of quarterly sales reports
Communicate with the Institutional Success team to ensure a seamless transition between sales, procurement, and onboarding of new customers
Work closely with the Collaboratory team to develop and execute sales campaigns and growth-focused initiatives
Help build Collaboratory’s reputation as the community engagement software that is contributing to deepening the field of higher education community engagement
Keep abreast of news related to higher education community engagement, especially that which is related to Collaboratory’s goals and objectives of monitoring, measuring, evaluating, and building community-university engagement
Required Qualifications
2+ years of sales experience in the SaaS industry, with a track record of meeting and/or exceeding sales targets
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes
Proven passion for working with institutions of higher education, and an unshakable belief in their abilities to work in partnership with communities to address challenging local, national and global issues
Ability to develop, maintain, and nurture relationships with prospective customers
Able to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing, in a highly collaborative, supportive manner
Experience utilizing Salesforce CRM database
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Enjoy working in dynamic environments where all business units are partners on the same team
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
The pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $40,000 and $55,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $75,000 and $200,000/year (including commission or bonus depending on the sales goals achieved, and the job and company performance). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
