Reporting to the Chief School & System Services Officer, the Coaching Impact Lead will be responsible for the overall success of the execution of ANet's Anti-Racism offering. This includes leading, developing, and managing a cohort of coaches to support partners to develop anti-racist building blocks that enable transformative change within complex systems. This individual will work in a highly collaborative, innovative and practice-oriented fashion within the School & System Services Team, as well as with leaders across ANet's central teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DOBuild and retain a cohort of high performing coaches

  • Manage coach onboarding strategy including partner coaching mentorship and development
  • Work closely with the Vice President, Anti-Racist innovation to provide targeted support to coaches as needed
  • Lead each coach in setting ambitious and feasible short- and long-term goals aligned to the anti-racist coaching model
  • Coach and develop each individual to maximize their impact and to build their long-term leadership capacity
  • Ensure strong leadership coaching practices through performance management of direct reports, including effective use of data to inform, prioritize, and take action
  • Steward a positive team culture that aligns to ANet's mission and values, specifically Advance Equity and People Matter, and our work towards becoming an anti-racist organization
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging trends in equity and anti-racism to inform knowledge and skills needed for the Anti-Racist System Partners team to effectively support partners now and in the future

Drive the short- and long-term vision for excellent service in ANet's Anti-Racism offering

  • Shape the vision for excellence in coaching and service strategy alongside the Vice President, Anti-Racist Innovation and the Chief Service Officer
  • Design and execute coach learning and development sessions aligned to the strategic priorities
  • Build your expertise on strong coaching practices and provide coaching development and support
  • Codify and elevate insights to support partners in meeting anti-racist outcomes
  • Actively participate in cross-functional leadership groups to inform and influence the evolution of the Anti Racism offering
  • Lead, codify and refine the staffing design to ensure viability and financial sustainability
  • Ensure partner satisfaction by building a deep knowledge of the Anti-Racist offering, developing strong and engaged relationships with partners aligned to the vision and execution of high quality interactions

Partner with and coach leaders to strengthen anti-racist practices, as needed

  • Serve as an anti-racist leadership coach supporting change management through building expertise in anti-racist best practices and leadership development
  • Analyze data and use research-based practices to inform an individualized strategy for coaching each partnership
  • Co-coach alongside direct reports
  • Execute and capture coaching interactions for internal training and development purposes
  • Provide coverage for team members on leave and/or support new partners, as needed
  • Build and maintain strong relationships that establish ANet as a key partner in anti-racist best practices


In order to be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • You are an Anti-Racist organizational change practitioner with a track record of power and policy change
  • You are a proven leader who has previously motivated, developed, and managed individuals to achieve ambitious goals. You know how to tailor the support and development of each direct report while building a positive and inclusive collaboration environment
  • You are skilled in leveraging your strategic thinking skills to identify opportunities and challenges, articulate root causes, and assess the needs of stakeholders in order to develop an overall vision of success and to make recommendations that will accelerate change
  • You are motivated by working in an environment where we live out our core values daily. You are eager to examine personal archetypes and biases while discussing topics related to race, class, and privilege which relate to ANet's Advance Equity and People Matter values, and our work towards becoming an anti-racist organization

Ideal candidates may also demonstrate the following preferred qualifications:

  • You have have a proven track record of success, including examples of leading a strong team culture and strong examples of coach development aligned to frameworks for coaching excellence
  • You bring consulting skills aligned to Peter Block's Consulting Model or similar models
  • You have experience coaching school systems in centralized functions and policies through the lens of anti-racism
  • You have experience in K-12 education as an Anti-Racist organizational change practioner
