Client Development Representative

Committee for Children - Seattle, Washington - Full time

In our pursuit of positively transforming the social-emotional well-being of 100 million children annually by 2028, Committee for Children is looking for an experienced client development representative to join our team! In this role, the client development representative (CDR) will focus on initiating contacts and new business opportunities with potential schools and districts interested in social-emotional learning programs. They will assume responsibility for developing qualified leads from marketing campaigns, conferences, webinars, databases, market research and other sources through calls and emails to contribute to new client engagement in their assigned territory. They will cultivate potential relationships by identifying the needs and timing around social emotional learning interest, providing information on our programs and pricing, and creating a warm handoff of qualified opportunities to appropriate sales managers. The CDR will give presentations and webinars on our programs, answer in-depth questions, and provide preliminary pricing and quotes. They will also work with sales managers to develop new prospecting strategies and marketing campaigns to help further business initiatives in targeted markets and program areas.

Primary Responsibilities Include

Lead Generation and Prospecting

Develop an effective pipeline of leads, prospects and potential customers and tracks relevant information in the CRM

Qualify new leads and prospects by providing supporting program information, pricing, and presentations to potential customers in schools, districts, and agencies regarding effective practices with CFC programs and services

Provide input and analysis on target areas for lead prospecting using CRM data, reports around past purchases, market trends, legislation and funding opportunities

Territory and Account Development

Support opportunities to increase market share by delivering customized trainings, webinars and presentations on CFC programs and services

Communicate information and prepare quotes as needed to provide support to existing clients regarding our programs, pricing and services

Program Knowledge and Market

Develop and display demonstrated knowledge of CFC products, market trends, and competitive landscape

Represent CFC at conferences and events to support market presence, develop prospect and lead opportunities, and enhance the awareness of CFC’s programs and services

Attends and participates in national and regional conferences and events to support market presence, develop prospect and lead opportunities, and enhance the awareness of CFC’s programs and services


Associate degree or equivalent experience

Two years’ professional experience; prospecting, account development or fundraising preferred

Computer skills in MS Office

Strong collaboration and team-building skills

Expert listener and communicator

Comfortable presenting to an audience

Position is based in Seattle

15% travel
