Chief Product Officer - Multiple Locations - Full time is on a mission to revolutionize how people become Teachers.

As the Chief Product Officer, you are charged with creating a digital platform that becomes the pre-eminent one-stop shop for anyone in the U.S. considering the Teaching profession. Your work will have a critical impact on improving life opportunities for all students by increasing the quantity, quality, and diversity of future teachers by inspiring and supporting talented individuals to consider and enter the Teaching profession.

In your role, you will define the core product and design a set of scalable user experiences that enables millions of young Americans to learn about teaching, decide whether it’s for them, and navigate entry into the profession. You will identify pain points and challenges and implement targeted solutions to make the process of becoming a Teacher easier, less costly, and more clear. You will manage the Product team and continue to grow them as the team grows.

This role reports directly to the Executive Director and will collaborate extensively with Chief Program Officer and serve on the executive leadership team. You will be a driving force in, not only building a world-class digital product that attracts, engages, and cultivates millions of users to consider and pursue the teaching profession, but also in determining’s culture and strength as a team.


Serve as the Chief Product developer, visionary, and content strategist for the core product: a digital recruitment platform and marketing system that informs and enables high schoolers, undergrads and career changers to explore teaching and provides interactive supports to become a teacher

Develop and execute strategy for digital product via user research, data, modelling scenarios and outcomes, prioritizing opportunities against budget and impact, and presenting and investing the organization around the future of the product and its marketing

Develop and set goals, KPIs, and targets to continuously improve and measure the effectiveness of all aspects of our product and content, underpinned by a best-in-class CRM system to drive sophisticated segmentation and insights about how to engage and persuade subscribers and convert them into teachers.

Drive a fail-fast, test early, continuously optimize product development team culture that equally values synthesis, reflection and collaboration

Manage and grow TEACH’s existing Technology, Design, Product Coordination and Content teams consisting of employees, contractors and vendors

Serve on’s senior leadership team, which collaborates to set the overall vision, strategy, policies, and culture for the organization


  • Passion for the mission of
  • 8 -15+ years of work experience, particularly in product development, user experience and research, and marketing roles
  • Proven experience as a leader in digital product development (e.g. director level experience under CPO, CTO, or CXO)
  • Experience in digital engagement strategies via email, social media, paid ads, and integrating / coordinating efforts with a CRM and robust data
  • Track record of leading teams to set and exceed ambitious goals/targets
  • Strategic thinker and problem-solver with strong data orientation
  • Expert communicator who can break out problems into multiple pieces of evidence, and propose opportunities with supporting rationale
  • Well-rounded user-centered design skills, marketing skills, people management, and operating abilities
  • Experience in high-growth, early-stage organizations is a major plus
  • Ideal candidates will also possess:
    • Experience with content and messaging strategy
    • Experience with teaching in the K-12 education system or in education technology
