About the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Position

We are expanding our leadership team with the addition of a talented CFO. The ideal CFO candidate will be an experienced and strategic leader with a proven track record driving and accelerating revenue growth. This high influence, high impact role will complement the existing leadership team and will have the responsibility to partner across the business to drive ongoing growth and development.

By taking the lead role in financial decision making and providing strategic financial input, the CFO will be responsible for managing, planning, implementing and controlling all financial-related activities of the Company. The CFO will also oversee the HR, operations, and legal functions.


  • Collaborate with leadership team and business leaders across the organization to prioritize strategies and align them with the overall growth strategy of the business.
  • Ensure that the scope, business case and success metrics for projects are well defined, understood and measured.
  • Directs all accounting, budgeting, forecasting, finance, and cash management activities
  • Oversees development and implementation of accounting systems, controls, and metrics
  • Manages relationship with accounting firm and directs audit and tax activities
  • Delivers timely and accurate analysis and reporting of financial and operational performance
  • Provides financial analysis and modeling to support strategic and tactical decision-making
  • Drives analysis of capital requirements to ensure optimal capitalization and availability of funds
  • Establishes and maintains banking relationships and manage ongoing investor relations
  • Identifies key financial risks with respect to business and develop strategies for managing them
  • Fosters a culture that promotes ethical practices, high performance, and enables to attract, retain, and motivate talented employees
  • Develops individuals and builds teams – providing opportunities that promote accountability and sustain high performance

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years CFO-level experience at software or internet companies.
  • 10+ years of finance and accounting experience
  • Team player, able to forge strong working relationships across the business.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven
  • Forward thinking with high energy and drive.
  • Leadership presence with the ability to communicate and manage at various organizational levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to make decisions based on an accurate and timely analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in acquisitions due diligence processes. IPO experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience of the EdTech space
