Boston Children's Hospital Education Spinout - Boston, Massachusetts or Remote - Full time

Opportunity Overview

Brain science reveals that literacy issues can be identified before a child enters kindergarten, with early intervention having a dramatic impact on reading and self-esteem outcomes. Yet today too many of our children are not diagnosed until 3rd grade or later. Boston Children’s Hospital is spinning out an education technology company focused on early identification of literacy issues (e.g. dyslexia) and supported tools for parents, teachers, and other caregivers. The new product is based on the research of Harvard and Boston Children’s Hospital neuroscientist Dr. Nadine Gaab. The NewCo has been incubated in the Boston Children’s Hospital’s Digital Accelerator (IDHA) which has built, and validated, a gamified, self-administered, tablet-based screener, now available for scaling and distribution.
