Lead Thinkful’s brand and content strategy. This is the ideal position if you’re looking to define a strategy, execute it, then hire and manage its success. You’ll complement our existing teams’ strength in paid acquisition, analytics, and PR. In concert with our passionate education, product, and technology groups you’ll help us grow from the 7,000 students we’ve educated so far and help us reach the next 70,000.

Thinkful is the largest online coding bootcamp. We’re a couple dozen at the HQ in NYC, and 300 mentors around the US and the world, each with an average of 10 years’ experience.

What offline schools pay in rent we spend on support: each student learns from a personalized curriculum, 1-on-1 mentorship, 40 hours of weekly Q&A sessions, and small classrooms. Upon graduation, Thinkful offers career services that get you hired – not just resume help, but mock interviews, expertise on negotiating offers, and agents who works on your behalf to reach employers with you.

Your expertise will shape our brand and you’ll be responsible for growth across all unpaid channels – especially content strategy and execution. You’ll be supported in design, engineering, analytics, and across our executive team. Your experience (ideally in adult education) will help us stand out in a crowded market. You’re experienced enough to lead our growing team and this crucial area, but humble enough to do the work yourself, especially in the first few months. This position reports directly to our CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Own and build all unpaid growth channels including brand, content, SEO, and PR.
  • Work directly with the executive team to mature positioning and branding.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years branding experience, ideally in adult education.
  • 5 years in digital content strategy in technology startups, ideally with online communities.
  • Significant managerial experience.
