Business Process Analyst

SchoolMint - Lafayette, Louisiana - Full time

The SchoolMint Professional Services team implements the SchoolMint product as part of large-scale initiatives to streamline K-12 admissions and enrollment across cities and states. We work directly with key stakeholders to map out existing processes and create elegant solutions within SchoolMint to improve those processes. As a liaison between SchoolMint and customers, the Business Analyst will be an expert at understanding customer needs, crafting and communicating solutions, documenting processes and detailed requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to conduct customer facing business analysis and scoping workshops to probe and identify current business processes
  • Ability to engage with a large and diverse group of business users to align business goals and objectives
  • Collecting and analyzing business requirements and transferring knowledge to development team
  • Evaluating the data collected through task analysis, business process, surveys and workshops
  • Create detailed business process and design specification documentation
  • Providing suggestions to the development team during the development stage of product to meet the client's business needs
  • Preparing accurate and detailed requirement specifications documents, user interface guides, and functional specification documents
  • Communicating Effectively with external clients and internal teams to deliver products functional requirements like screen, interface, and GUI designs
  • Designing and executing the test scripts and test scenarios
  • Coordinating with the groups of business units who test, validate, evaluate new applications and functions, and determine issues in services and software.
  • Ability to learn and configure Schoolmint products to meet business need

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 3+years of experience in an Business Analyst role
  • Education industry (K-12) experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Conceptual Understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Must be self-motivated and managed
  • Advanced skills in Google Suite, MsWord, Visio, and Excel
  • Ability to learn new programs quickly and pull/create/synthesize data out of these programs
  • Solid mathematical aptitude and effective project management skills
  • Ability to analyze and document complex business processes
  • Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver
  • Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information
