About the Role

Sketchy is looking for a Business Development Representative to sell our enterprise services to university and corporate clients around the world. You would speak directly with clients and students to deeply understand their unique needs in order to identify the optimal enterprise solutions that deliver an outstanding customer experience, while growing the Average Order Value per learner. You would build a robust pipeline comprised of outbound client leads and nurture ongoing relationships with clients.

The Business Development Representative will work directly with Medical Schools and Health Sciences institutions, such as Physician Assistant programs and Pharmacy Schools, to provide Sketchy content and materials to their students. This role reports to the Director of Sales.

Working at Sketchy

We are headquartered in Los Angeles, but have teammates that collaborate remotely from cities across the United States. As travel and working conditions return back to “normal”, we will find opportunities to increasingly meet and collaborate in person. While you will always have a seat to work from at our Los Angeles HQ, our transition to a remote-first company will allow you to work from the location of your choice in select states across the country.

Location: This role is open to remote employees in select US states: Texas, California, New York, Hawaii, Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts, Washington, and Washington, D.C

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and lead qualification through frequent outreach.
  • Book meetings with prospective clients and demonstrate the value of the product.
  • Accurate and consistent pipeline management with CRM (Hubspot).
  • Build strong relationships with prospective clients.
  • Organize and process large group purchase orders.
  • Identify a comprehensive and exhaustive list of all potential enterprise clients with a structured outreach process to develop those leads into potential clients.
  • Grow CRM database with new and accurate contact information.
  • Curate and report on customer feedback and insights for future product development.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous sales experience with new customer acquisition-focused accounts.
  • Established track record of meeting and exceeding sales quota.
  • A team player and collaborator with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage and partner with C-Level executives, University administrators, and professors.
  • Ability to win the support of key stakeholders.
  • Must have experience using Hubspot/Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Experience (or strong interest) in working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Passionate about learning and making a positive impact on the world.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a similar field of study.
