Our TV series, The Polos, is broadcast worldwide, including Discovery Family (USA), NatGeo (LatAm), YouKu (China) and Nickelodeon (India).

The role:

Reporting to the CEO, the Business Development Manager will focus on an exciting new area of the business - B2B sales to private and public school groups - and companies which sell/market to pre-schools/schools – in the US and Canada (and other international territories as relevant).

This individual should have established networks, excellent sales skills, and be able to identify, pursue and close opportunities for MarcoPolo Learning products, to drive adoption and revenue in these markets.

Key responsibilities:

●Proactively identify opportunities with private and public school groups - and companies which sell/market to schools – in the US and Canada (and globally).

●Drive revenue, adoption, and market segment share for MarcoPolo Learning products.

●Work with targets to identify explicit needs and manage the deal-flow process from trial to close to implementation.

●Relay market needs and requirements back to the internal product team to create a market-led, commercial feedback loop for product development.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in B2B(2C) sales of digital education products/services to private and public school groups in the US and Canada, with experience of additional territories a bonus.
  • Specific experience of marketing and selling pre-school or early learning products or services (targeting ages 3-7 preferred).
  • Demonstrable experience prospecting, developing and closing deals, and driving revenue.
  • Experience working to KPIs and sales targets.
  • Established networks and connections.
  • Enthusiasm and natural selling techniques, with a focus on building relationships through consultative sales and deep product knowledge.
  • Driven, entrepreneurial, and analytical.
  • Proficiency with Keynote or Powerpoint.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business and/or finance preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-scaling Edtech a bonus.
  • Experience selling to media groups and Edtech companies a bonus.
