Bronx Charter School of the Arts (Bronx Arts) seeks an experienced, Recruitment Manager who believes that a rich and vibrant background in the arts is a key catalyst for the academic and social success of all students. This person will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract and help retain elementary and middle school teachers who encourage creativity and innovation in the classroom, while also working with parents and scholars, to ensure that high expectations are met and strong culture is maintained. Teachers who support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of our scholars, helping them to develop the intellectual and personal fortitude needed to realize their dreams. To that end, this Recruitment Manager will:


  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for teachers, ensuring all selected candidates are properly evaluated and supported throughout the process,
  • Using Greenhouse, maintains a system of disseminating resumes, facilitating interviews, and gathering/sharing candidate assessments and interview feedback with internal selection committees and other stakeholders,
  • Develop relationships with talent sources and sourcing strategies and execute targeted outreach to attract qualified candidates.
  • Screen candidates for critical, high-need roles as needed, and provide feedback and recommendations to internal selection committees and hiring managers.
  • Track and monitor open roles along with other relevant recruitment metrics, to inform the design of strategies to meet and exceed recruitment goals.
  • Ensure timely and effective communications to keep candidates, Principals, and other relevant stakeholders updated on the status of the recruitment efforts,
  • Work closely with the Director of Operations to manage the job offers process, and ensure all new hires are appropriately on-boarded and are fully informed of organizational culture, policies, and benefits.
  • Conduct ongoing industry research and remain knowledgeable about the education field’s talent landscape to refine recruitment processes and implement best practices.
  • Build high-quality productive relationships with internal stakeholders and develop meaningful external partnerships that strengthen candidate pipeline and advances the longer term recruitment strategy

Experiences and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2-3 years of experience working in a high-volume, full life cycle recruitment environment,
  • Experience working as a teacher or administrator in a K-12 school setting, preferably in K-12 talent recruitment in New York CIty,
  • Proficiency with Greenhouse or similar applicant tracking system,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite,
  • Highly organizational and strong attention to detail,
  • Strategic thinker with excellent time-management skills,
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills,
  • Experience working in urban, underserved schools.


Compensation salary and benefits packages, commensurate with experience.
