Bids and Funding Project Manager

Lexia Learning - Concord, Massachusetts or Remote - Full time

Lexia currently helps over 2.5 million K–12 students learn to read and we are looking for passionate, talented individuals to join our mission driven team.

This person will assist the Senior Manager of RFPs & Educational Funding in coordinating successful priority State and District adoptions of Lexia products for the purpose of generating new business.

The Bids and Funding Project Manager is an integral part of the overall Proposal Team, responsible for managing State Adoptions, State Approvals, and State Curriculum/Content review submissions. He/she will coordinate pre/post proposal development activities (i.e. researching, evaluating, preparing all information pertinent to strategic priority projects, etc.) while simultaneously supporting the Regional Sales Team. 

Ideal candidate will work from our Concord, MA office location with the rest of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide direct support for Strategic Project Management, State Adoptions and Curriculum Reviews
  • Monitor SEA websites for State Adoption and Curriculum Reviews opportunities and requirements
  • Create/maintain a spreadsheet with State Adoption/Curriculum Review requirements, timelines, and contacts
  • Facilitate process for managing strategic projects that cross over multiple departments/personnel
  • Coordinate requests for State Adoptions/Curriculum Reviews with Regional Sales Team and Education/Research Group
  • Facilitate the development and delivery of State Adoption/Curriculum Reviews submissions
  • Maintain a timeline for each state adoption submission, identifying specific tasks and due dates, and coordinate the efforts of Lexia staff involved
  • Upload, email, or ship required forms to SEA/LEA portals, per submission requirements
  • Record and communicate bid and contract terms to Rosetta Stone Legal, Operations, and Sales Team
  • Manage a repository of State Adoptions/Curriculum Reviews submissions
  • Track adoption data and specific bid bundles
  1. Provide proactive support for State-level funding information
  • Monitor SEA websites for state-level funding opportunities (i.e. 3rd grade Reading Initiative, Early Learning, English Language Learners, etc.)
  • Strategize all aspects of state-funding campaigns, working with appropriate Lexia Staff
  • Coordinate requests for state-level funding alignments

All About You

  • Bachelors’ degree required
  • Experience working State Adoptions and other large K-12 strategic projects highly preferred
  • 5 years professional experience preferred, with at least 2 years in Project Management and/or Marketing
  • Strong MS Office suite experience, as well as Adobe programs
  • Proven experience managing multiple proposal development efforts simultaneously (including coordinating resources, and deliverables) highly preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, customer-focused and able to successfully manage all facets of project work including call facilitation, coordination, writing, content development of responsibility matrices, interfacing with internal/external stakeholders, editing/proofing, production and quality control
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Able to handle confidential material in a reliable manner
  • Strong team player, with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting
