Job Purpose

The Strategic Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering sponsorship revenue across our suite of Tech & Learning events, working independently and in partnership with the existing commercial team to open new regional accounts with tech providers across the US.

We have an exciting and ambitious development program for our events portfolio and this role would be a key part of our drive to be the number one event provider for the Tech & Learning sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a real success story at Future.

Key responsibilities

  • Prospecting new clients, generating sales leads and closing business
  • Meeting and exceeding all revenue goal targets
  • Adhering to outlined sales KPI’s
  • Effectively manage pipeline to ensure revenue goals are met
  • Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets to sales management

What do I need to succeed?

  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience – Solutions-based sales knowledge a plus
  • Experience with NetSuite and/or similar CRM platforms
  • Event/sponsorship sales experience a bonus but not compulsory
  • Proactive strategic thinking with a strong sales mentality and creative problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of developing new business and exceeding revenue targets
  • Self-starter; ability to work independently, but also fit into a strong team environment
  • Competitive and determined attitude
  • Creative problem solver, resourceful and able to think strategically
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and organizational skills
  • Values learning and ongoing feedback
  • Ability to close business on a consistent basis
  • Equally comfortable on the phone or face to face
