Contract Career and Community Manager

Northeastern University - Remote - Part time


Build and maintain a network of employers. Serve as a liaison between Level students and alumni and employers, providing students connections and guidance in order to help them achieve their career objectives. Simultaneously, deeply understand the pain points of employers and guide the improvement and creation of Level programs.


You are organized, outgoing, and always building connections. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you are helping others succeed, knowing when to listen in order to understand problems and when to step forward with your expertise.

You deeply understand hiring and can help novices learn the best way to approach the full process, ranging from writing a resume to networking to interviewing. You are comfortable familiarizing yourself with dozens of individual students, setting appropriate expectations for their hiring options, and reorienting them if necessary.

As a connector between employers and prospective future employees, you are proactive, take initiative, set and meet ambitious goals, and are constantly looking for win-win situations. You are results-driven and able to balance many competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, make informed decisions, and work nonstandard/extended hours as needed. There will not always be a clear best process, but you love complex problems and know how to engage in a process to figure it out.You are always willing to innovate on process and feel that no process is sacred.

A high degree of diplomacy, customer service, and organizational skills are required. The role requires a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, respond to last minute requests, solve problems, act with discretion, adapt to change and maintain professional demeanor at all times, and work independently or as part of a team. Sound judgment and ability to deal effectively with matters of a highly visible, sensitive, and confidential nature is essential.
