Associate, Education Innovation Clusters

Digital Promise - Washington, DC or San Mateo, CA - Full time

About the Position

Since 2014, Digital Promise has worked (initially in partnership with the U.S. Department of Education) to catalyze and convene a national network of Education Innovation Clusters (EdClusters). EdClusters are regional ecosystems that bring together educators, entrepreneurs, researchers, funders, and other community stakeholders to support innovative teaching and learning in their communities. By collaborating outside the silos of sector and institution, these partners form a local network that is uniquely positioned to design, implement, and scale breakthrough learning practices and tools. Closely linked to the EdClusters network is the Digital Promise League of Innovative Schools (the League), a network of 93 public school districts around the country that work to validate, champion, and scale innovative learning opportunities to advance equity and excellence for all learners.

Reporting to the Director for Education Innovation Clusters, the EdClusters Program Associate will be an integral member of the League and EdClusters team at Digital Promise, supporting the programming of EdClusters while working across both the EdClusters and League networks around communications, evaluation, and network management. The Program Associate will also be responsible for key aspects of project management. The EdClusters Program Associate will be at the forefront of Digital Promise’s commitment to advance the EdClusters initiative to the next level -- strengthening network connections and deepening our programming to support the creative potential of EdCluster regions.
