Associate Director, Recruitment and Cultivation

CityBridge Education - Washington, District of Columbia - Full time

CityBridge Education’s vision is for the nation’s capital to be the first city-level proof point for an excellent, equitable education system. A Washington, DC-based nonprofit, we incubate the people, ideas, and conversations needed for equity-centered innovation in DC’s public schools and social enterprises. We do this by identifying talented leaders and school designers who can solve the educational needs and challenges of DC families, deploying particular effort to recruiting leaders of color. We then incubate and invest in the best of their ideas and, together, bring to market the next generation of transformational public schools and education ventures.

The Program Team is the home for the strategy and programs that support individual leaders and teams in launching equity-centered education ventures. As Associate Director, Recruitment & Cultivation, you will serve as the primary recruiter for CityBridge's incubator, cultivating education innovators interested in scaling their ideas to serve the young people of DC to participate in our programming. In this role, you will be the first face of the organization to prospective program participants. As a member of the Program team, you will work relentlessly to ensure the success of our portfolio of investments, and as a colleague at CityBridge, you will actively steward our brand, our standard of excellence, and commitment to equity in all that you do.

The Associate Director is a key member of the Program Team and reports to the Senior Director, Program Strategy. This is a full-time, DC-based position and requires living in the Metropolitan DC area and working in-person at our office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You will become an expert in sourcing and attracting participants to our programs throughout multiple annual cycles. You will ensure we have accurate and robust data systems for tracking these recruitment efforts and campaigns.

Alongside the Senior Director of Program Strategy, you will also play a key role on a collaborative, internal working group focused on selection tools and processes. Within this internal community, you will codesign and execute one major project each quarter in service of the larger organization or team.
