Associate Director of Member School Engagement

Global Online Academy - Remote - Full time

Global Online Academy (GOA) seeks an Associate Director of Member School Engagement. This is a newly-formed position for GOA and a highly-visible role both within and outside the organization. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Membership.

The Associate Director of Member School Engagement will work across the organization building relationships with GOA’s Student Program, Center for Professional Learning, and Design Lab teams. This individual will be the primary owner of a portfolio of member school relationships, ensuring strong, on-going relationships are developed and nurtured with key contacts for student and faculty enrollment at each school. Critical to success in this role is an understanding of the k-12 school landscape, both independent, international, and public/charter, as well as a strong focus on customer success. This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the main point of contact for ~75 GOA member schools
  • Works across GOA to stay current on what is happening with GOA’s Student Program, Center for Professional Learning, and Design Lab. Determines the best method for communicating back to schools as appropriate.
  • Schedules annual membership health calls with key contacts at each school. Brings in other GOA staff members as needed.
  • Tracks enrollments in GOA’s Student Program and Center for Professional Learning, and understands the potential for growing enrollments at the school and deepening relationships. Understands policies at each school regarding the integration of GOA programming.
  • Cultivates relationships with key contacts at school including the Communications Director and College Counselors. Identifies and elevates student and faculty stories that can be shared across GOA and member school communications channels.
  • Working with key school contacts and GOA’s Director of Communications and Engagement, determines the best strategy for sharing GOA information with parents and students.
  • Travels to schools to meet with key contacts as requested. May present on GOA programming to administrators, students, and educators.
  • Works in partnership with the Engagement team and Communications teams to develop email engagement workflows and other marketing content to keep key contacts up to date on GOA and share stories of impact with broader GOA audiences.
  • Contributes to setting the overall strategy for GOA’s Engagement team, including identifying membership health metrics and strategies for growth.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of professional work experience with at least 3 years in a school or educational setting
  • A clear focus on client service and relationship building with demonstrated experience deepening client relationships
  • Experience working with Salesforce for customer relationship management. Canvas experience also preferred but not required.
  • Proactive self-starter able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while also working collaboratively with team members.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel
