The Associate Director, Curriculum & Instructional Design will leverage their experience leading multiple, large-scale educational technology projects to design and develop market-leading STEM education programs for the PreK-12 school audience. This role manages and oversees the creation of high-quality content based on specific product requirements as defined in collaboration with the MOS in School leadership team. The Associate Director, Curriculum & Instructional Design brings vision and education pedagogy expertise to the product development process, leads the product team, participates in grant proposal writing, and manages business needs including negotiating with external partners, creating projects and budgets, and ensuring products stay true to learning goals, scope, and schedules. The Associate Director develops relationships and works in close partnership with counterparts across the organization to provide expertise and guidance, increases collaboration, and improves multi-directional transfer of knowledge to innovate education product development and delivery.


  • Manage a team of 3-5 direct and 4-6 indirect learning designers, curriculum developers, educators, and instructional designers
  • Manage and direct the work of at least 2 vendors and development partners
  • Create at least 1 government proposal per year
  • Creates at least 2 project budgets per year
  • Present at least 1 conference a year
  • Manage the pre-production process for digital launches for projects of size $50K-$1M


This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday. This role can be onsite, in Massachusetts, or fully remote.


Sr. Director, Product & Marketing


  • Bachelors of Science or Arts degree.
  • 5 or more years of science education; instructional technology experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a science subject (Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering) or a science related field.
  • Experience managing development and budgets on large scale print and/or digital education products
  • Experience leading a team of STEM editors, curriculum developers, and instructional designers
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, professional development, marketing, sales, product.)


Exempt (Salaried). $105,000-110,000/year
