Associate Account Executive

About the Role:

We’re looking for a mission-driven, intellectually curious, and goal-oriented Associate Account Executive to join our fast-growing education company that uses data analytics to help K-12 school districts empower educator professional growth.

What you’ll be doing

As an Associate Account Executive, you will be a source of growth and expansion for KickUp’s customer base. This role is responsible for prospecting and qualifying new-business leads. While the Associate role is designed to be an entry-point into K-12 sales, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skill set and responsibilities quickly into the next level of Account Executive (AE), which is focused on qualifying, developing, and winning new business. Our training program is designed to help you achieve success as an AE at KickUp, and build a clear on-ramp to that next level within one year at the company. You will be part of a small, collaborative sales team that has a track record of securing customers and building relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders in several regions of the country.

Specifically you will:

  • Reach out to school district leaders engaging with KickUp's content and event programming to schedule introductory meetings
  • Compile research on prospects, building lead lists for sales team prospecting
  • Create, run, and analyze cold outreach campaigns to engage new prospects in target territories
  • Collaborate with AEs on territory campaign strategy, messaging, and timing
  • Join AEs on discovery calls, demonstrations, and pricing calls to learn sales best practices
  • Lead discovery calls, demonstrations, and pricing calls after meeting success metrics

Skills & Experience:

We’re looking for someone with experience in K-12 schools who:

  • Is motivated by driving revenue growth
  • Is hungry to grow and learn -- is open to feedback and seeks to continuously improve
  • Is curious -- asks great questions and has strong active listening skills
  • Is a natural at building relationships, particularly value-add, consultative relationships with high level stakeholders
  • Is detail-oriented and maintains good records
  • Demonstrates a sense of ownership and pride in both personal and company performance
  • Has a team player attitude and contributes by working effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds
  • Is persistent and has a strong work ethic

As a good fit for this position, your experience might include:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a K-12 setting
  • A track record of setting and exceeding ambitious, measurable goals, whether in a classroom or organizational setting
  • Working on a highly collaborative, results-oriented team
  • Prior experience with selling or in a position of instructional leadership is not required, but is an added bonus!

Position Details:

This is a full-time position. While we are located in Philadelphia, this job can be done remotely as we have a remote-friendly culture. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

This position involves both base and variable compensation. Base compensation for this position ranges between $55,000 and $75,000 based on experience, with on target earnings ranging between $70,000 and $90,000 with no cap on commissions. Rapid growth potential is naturally built into this opportunity.
