Assessment Research Manager - remote

Overview

A key function of the Assessment Research Manager (ARM) is the management of research projects from initiation to completion. This includes collaborating with the Senior Director of Research and Development and the Senior Academic Officer in the planning and design of research projects for FastBridge, collaborating with Product and Sales to identify and select schools/district to serve as data collection sites, ensuring all necessary agreements and consents are completed, collaborating with the Data Sciences team to set up online data collection, planning and preparing training sessions with participating sites, and providing remote support as needed during the data collection phase.

A secondary role is to provide oversight for the ongoing maintenance of the FastBridge assessment portfolio. This includes responding to internal and external request for information about the assessments and providing quality assurance and development support for new content development work.

The successful candidate is a problem solver with strong written communication and organizational skills, enjoys team collaboration, and communicating with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research Projects
    • Collaborate with Senior Director of Research and Development and the Senior Academic Officer in the development of research plans.
    • Manage all the critical phases of data collection.
    • Coordinate with schools and districts and other internal teams to obtain necessary permissions to conduct data collection.
    • Manage the development of field-testing materials and training guides.
    • Ensure high fidelity implementation of the research plan.
  • Assessment Management
    • Maintain library of FastBridge assessments as well as data documenting assessment performance.
    • Provide quality assurance and development support for new assessment development projects.
    • Respond to customer support escalations related to FastBridge assessments.
    • Develop brief articles about FastBridge assessment for the Knowledge Base.
    • Contribute to RFP responses related to FastBridge assessments.
  • Product Development & Research
    • Be an active contributor to regular research and project planning discussions.
    • Provide support to the R&D team on product development activities, data analysis, and white papers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MA/MS in Educational Psychology or related field plus 5 years’ experience in educational test development
  • Experience in the design and development of standardized assessments
  • Strong understanding of the test development standards and practices described in the APA/AERA/NCME Standards
  • Working understanding of psychometric principles such as reliability and validity
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and Adobe Acrobat
