Built by educators for educators, Gradarius is an AI-based, free-form problem-solving mathematics platform that offers feedback beyond just the right or wrong answer.
In this project-based role, you will join our math content team to write content for the AP Calculus AB curriculum as well as review and accuracy check content.
We have multiple roles for experienced AP Calculus teachers who are passionate about teaching and learning. While full-time availability is preferred for some roles, we have other roles that can accommodate part-time availability.
This is a 1099 consulting project.
Responsibilities may include:
- Writing interactive examples and problems (including MCQs and FRQs) that meet the quality, style, rigor, and standards of the AP Calculus AB curriculum.
- Reviewing interactive examples and problems written by other Gradarius AP Calculus AB content writers, then giving feedback to address any pedagogical, accuracy, grammar, or clarity issues ensuring examples and problems meet the AP standards.
- Identifying Gradarius problems for AP Calculus AB and revising them to meet the AP standards.
- Learning to use and understand the Gradarius student experience.
- Working interactive examples and problems within the Gradarius platform, then providing feedback to address any functionality, accuracy, and clarity issues.
Applicants will have the following qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience teaching AP Calculus.
- A deep understanding and familiarity with the AP Calculus curriculum and the kinds of examples and problems that students need to understand in order to be successful on the AP exam.
- A deep understanding of the foundational knowledge needed to complete the steps of an AP Calculus problem.
- Experience using mathematics platforms and learning management systems.
Applicants with the following experience and qualities are preferred:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with technology and a willingness to learn new systems quickly.
- Understanding of agile development processes and experience with issue tracking systems is desirable.
- The ability to organize your time well, meet weekly deadlines, and keep a consistent schedule.
