Amira Sales Director

Amira Learning - Remote - Full time

In this job, you will work closely with AEs and Sales Managers at Amira’s partner, HMH, the Learning Company. With nearly 500 Account Executives, HMH has the largest sales force in K-12. You will ensure that these Reps are ready to successfully sell Amira, while personally supporting key sales cycles.

We need a mission-oriented leader willing to work tirelessly to ensure that the HMH team is successful. You will own Amira’s HMH quota. You will need to answer questions, resolve snafus, create focus on key opportunities, and otherwise ensure that sales cycles move from early stages to close.

Succeeding in this job will require an experienced and efficient sales person with excellent people skills, outstanding knowledge of K-12, and an exemplary work ethic. The ideal individual will have a long history of building strong customer relationships, coupled with the know-how to get school districts to a purchase.

This job reports to the CEO.

What You Will Do:

Work with key decision makers at the District and School level to resolve concerns and objections about Amira

Make commitments on behalf of Amira for implementation support and training

Drive RFP responses on key RFPs, working with HMH PM and HMH RFP team

Handle objections as they arise during the sales cycle by working with HMH AEs and Solutions consultants

Ensure that critical selling resources, like the Amira CEO and HMH PM, are in front of the right customers at the right times

Directly create leads that can be turned over to HMH AEs

When needed, go on sales calls with HMH Account Executives. You will have the ability to demo and otherwise evangelize Amira’s AI applications to educators

Attend regional sales team meetings (on a regular cycle, assuming 12 regions, attend two meetings per month -- each region is visited 2x per year)

Work with and train the Regional VPs on Amira to boost excitement and increase ownership

Build relationships with Core AEs in critical geographies such that they utilize your skills to help progress key sales cycles

Represent Amira in trade shows, key conferences, regional and national literacy gatherings, etc. to generate Amira-led leads.

You will own a multi-million dollar quota.

Core skills:

Proven results as a Sales person with at least 5 years of experience in direct selling

Experience training and supporting Account Executives

Experience selling edtech software, with at least 3 years of experience working at an edtech company

Experience selling to U.S. School Districts

Knowledgeable about K-12 Assessment a plus

Experience selling SaaS applications a plus

A demonstrated execution mindset and a record of success holding people accountable

Strong existing relationships with leading School Districts
