About Us
The AI Education Project (aiEDU) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to centering equity and accessibility in artificial intelligence (AI) education. Our mission is to create equitable educational experiences that excite and empower learners everywhere with AI literacy. Our offerings include a variety of free learning resources created for educators to empower their students with the necessary skills to excel as future workers, creators, consumers, and citizens.
Our team boasts a diverse and dynamic background in industry, education, curriculum design, marketing, policy, journalism, and more. We share a core belief that the next generation holds the transformative potential to steer the future of AI, and in turn our common future towards a greater good.
The Project
aiEDU is launching a project to develop substitute lesson plans to supplement our existing and future curriculum materials. This role will be responsible for creating substitute lesson plans for aiEDU based on existing and upcoming Project Dashboard learning activities (grades 9-12).
This is a part-time, contract role that would last 2-3 months depending on availability, with the opportunity for additional design contracts in the future. Ideal contract start date is October 1st, but some flexibility is available if needed. Compensation for the role is an hourly pay rate at $75/hr.

Applications for this role will be accepted through August 18th, 2023. However, we encourage early applications as the position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they meet every one of the qualifications as outlined in a job description. We are most interested in finding the best contractor for the project, and that candidate may be one who comes from a less traditional background. We would encourage you to apply, even if you don’t believe you meet every one of our qualifications as described.
Equal Employment Opportunity
The AI Education Project is an equal opportunity employer. We believe that building and empowering a diverse team is a strategic imperative in our work, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, gender identity or expression, or any other basis protected by local, state, or federal law. This policy applies with regard to all aspects of employment, including hiring, promotion, compensation, eligibility for benefits and termination. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
