OPPORTUNITY:

The Afterschool Programs Associate will assist in developing and supporting Green Dot’s middle and high school afterschool programs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

> Oversee the Child and Adult Food Care Program for after school programs. Including tracking and monthly reporting for snack and supper. Responsible for any audits.

> Responsible for Federal Program Monitoring of MS and HS programs. Conduct a minimum of one internal FPM audit per MS and HS programs per year.

> Conduct program observations for quality using Green Dot Afterschool Programs Quality Rubric as well as bi-monthly program compliance checks.

> Track inventory purchased with afterschool program funds.

> Assist in the planning of org wide afterschool activities and special projects.

> Manage data and information systems tracking participant attendance and academic growth.

> In collaboration with the Coordinator of Afterschool programs, develop and present professional development for afterschool program staff.

> In collaboration with the Coordinator of Afterschool programs, complete all state and federal reporting.

> Work collaboratively with school leaders, teacher leaders, and other Ed Team members to support school afterschool programs at all schools.

> Write and distribute monthly newsletter highlighting Green Dot afterschool programs.

> Support Green Dot afterschool programs in any capacity as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

> A passion for improving urban schools and driving education reform

> At least two years of experience working with ASES and/or ASSETs programs

> Leadership roles in the context of supporting diverse student populations preferred

> Knowledgeable about the current state of expanded learning programs in California

> Must be open to coaching and able implement professional feedback with urgency

> Strong oral and written communication skills

> Bachelors in education or related field

> Ability to travel to other sites and locations

COMPENSATION:

Salary for this position is $44,000 - $50,000, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits plan as well as the opportunity to impact a growing, mission-driven organization that is committed to the success of all students.

(This position is funded by state and federal grants. The position will be closed if grant funding ends for any reason.)
