The opportunity

As our Administrative Manager, you will play an important role in managing office operations and activities while providing administrative support to management. This is a full-time, exempt position and will report to and work closely with the Senior HR and Operations Manager. On a given day, you will:

  • Proactively provide calendar and administrative support to our CEO and others on the management team
  • Support and manage board of directors and quarterly board meetings, including booking travel accommodations, communications, scheduling, note taking, and preparing packets.
  • Manage and collaborate with other members of the People team on org-wide events and other matters related to employee experience.
  • Manage daily operations for the team and be the go-to person for all office and general questions.
  • Manage equipment for the team including purchasing equipment for new hires.
  • Manage and coordinate all outgoing mail for the organization.

Who you are

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years with applicable administrative experience.
  • You have experience proactively managing calendars, travel logistics, and expenses.
  • You have business acumen and an understanding of changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are fantastic at organizational and time-management and have the ability to thoughtfully prioritize responsibilities.
  • You have excellent judgment.
  • You’re a strong communicator both verbally and in writing, and know how to tailor messaging based on your audience.
  • You’re a continuous learner and think through how to improve efficiencies to streamline workflows and existing systems.
  • You possess strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and analytical skills.
  • You’re a go-getter that has a strong attention to detail.
  • You act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • You’re savvy with Google Suite, Zoom, Slack, and you can learn new tools quickly.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup is a plus.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with U.S.-based K-12 education systems
  • Experience in or empathy with communities we serve (e.g., underserved populations, education, immigration, bilingual and/or multicultural environments)
