Administrative Assistant, Professional Learning Group (Remote)

IXL Learning, a leading edtech company with products used by 13 million students worldwide, is seeking a Professional Learning Coordinator to join our fun and friendly Professional Learning team. In this role, you will communicate with internal teams as well as customers (teachers and other educators) to facilitate the scheduling of professional learning services. You’ll also help to execute professional learning and marketing events by coordinating logistics and providing support to IXL team members to ensure smooth and successful events.

This is a remote full-time hourly position in the San Mateo, CA area. Candidates must live a commutable distance from our San Mateo office in order to come into the office periodically as requested.


  • Coordinate and schedule virtual and on-site sessions for our professional learning specialists and customers
  • Work with sales and renewal teams to gather information on the focus of each professional learning session and its implementation, and prioritize and assign sessions accordingly
  • Interface with IXL customers and answer questions about learning sessions and professional learning events


  • BA/BS and 1+ years experience in customer service and/or administrative work
  • Energetic and positive person who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and works well with deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator who can work well with a wide range of people
  • Self-starter with the ability to plan and build timelines, prioritize tasks, and act resourcefully to resolve problems
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently, from start to finish
  • Quick learner who demonstrates initiative and can work well both within a team and independently
  • An interest in education and education technology
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
  • Experience with Google Suite
