Account Manager, Rosetta Stone (Raleigh, NC)

IXL Learning, a leading edtech company with products used by 12 million students worldwide, is seeking an Account Manager to join our growing Customer Success team. This role will support our Rosetta Stone Language Learning team.

The ideal Account Manager will have a passion for K-12 education, account management and customer success. In this role you will be developing relationships with educational administrators within your assigned territory and will provide support, insights and strategies to drive successful implementation and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for the subscription renewal, upsell, customer retention and engagement activities in assigned territory. This person must be proactive, well organized and extremely personable. We are looking for a quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is self-motivated with outstanding people skills and integrity.

This is a full time position in our Raleigh, NC office. The position will likely begin as remote, but will transition back to in office.


  • Proactive outreach to customers with expiring subscriptions through phone, email and targeted campaigns to secure subscription renewal and drive expansion in your assigned territory; consult on purchasing options, prepare pricing proposals, follow up through close
  • Develop a keen understanding of customer needs and values in order to provide the best customer experience and maximize product adoption, usage and engagement
  • For targeted strategic district stakeholders, coordinate, deliver and track implementation services to achieve retention and expansion goals
  • Understand all facets of Rosetta Stone Language programs - technical and operational, as well as internal Rosetta Stone systems and processes
  • Effectively communicate new product enhancements and benefits to existing customers virtually
  • Periodically analyze account data and usage in preparation for consultations with school and district leadership, sharing results and impact
  • Develop and manage targeted campaigns to upsell and expand within existing accounts
  • Collaborate with field sales and inside sales to expand and grow Rosetta Stone footprint in your assigned territory
  • Accurately maintain all customer related information, implementation activity and opportunity tracking in Salesforce and/or Gainsight
  • Gather customer feedback to help improve and enhance product offerings
  • Coordinate internal communication and collaboration across multiple internal teams to support the success of the customer


  • BA/BS Degree
  • 1-2 years experience in Account Management/Customer Success, Renewal Sales or Inside Sales
  • Experience teaching in a K-12 setting or related educational field, preferably with a background in language acquisition and/or supporting EL students is highly desirable
  • Superb computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Google Suite, and SalesForce experience a plus
  • Proven organizational skills, high attention to detail, and superior time management
  • Strong speaking and presentation skills
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with data driven instruction
  • Experience with and ability to communicate across all levels of an organization, excellent written and verbal communication skills
