Sales / Account Executives: California & New York

Pear Deck is a mission-driven company, founded to make sure all teachers can engage each of their students every day. We’re looking for two sales representatives to expand our reach in K-12 schools in the United States—one in California to manage our western territory, and one in or near New York City to manage our northeastern territory. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making education more engaging and personal, and experience generating new customers in the K-12 market.

Pear Deck makes a suite of tools that make a meaningful impact on education. Selling Pear Deck is about helping school administrators understand how we can help them with their goals. Speaking passionately and truthfully to the authentic energy we can help teachers bring to classrooms is the best way to win new business. Above all, we work with truth, humility, brilliance, and determination, and these are the core requirements for joining our team.

There is also a lot of specific skill to sales at Pear Deck. The ideal candidate will understand how to develop a strategy for approaching a large regional territory of schools and districts. We’ll be looking for experience developing new territories, or managing existing territories, and working to a quota. We’re process oriented, so being able to describe processes that have made you successful in the past is important. Finally, experience specifically in K-12 SaaS sales will be a huge plus.

This position reports to the Sales Manager and will have responsibility for sales functions in their territory. 

Responsibilities include:

Working with prospective customers to understand how Pear Deck can help them with their goals. 

Identifying, developing, and acquiring new customers. 

Daily management of sales pipeline with Salesforce and weekly reporting. 

Establishing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts. 

Performance to sales quotas on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. 

Managing a budget for travel and other expenses. 

Compensation includes: 

Salary plus incentive compensation program

Paid holidays and vacation (unlimited)
