About the Job: Account Executive

Your primary responsibilities will be to smoothly transition qualified leads through each stage of our sales process. Specifically, this will include:

Finding New Members

  • Call and qualify good-fit prospective customers within a defined territory. This includes prospective clients who know us and have shown interest, along with those who are totally new to us.
  • Email prospective customers to complement your outbound calls; keep conversations with engaged prospects going via email, phone, social media, and video chats.
  • Follow our sales playbook to learn about the organizations you are talking to, diagnose their priorities or problems, determine if we’re a good fit for solving them, and show them how.
  • Build relationships with our evangelists in key markets and harness their networks and referrals.
  • Post training, complete demonstrations of our SaaS platform to both individuals and groups.

Attention to Details / Sales Administration Support

  • Diligently document all key details in Salesforce/HubSpot
  • Help the team keep Salesforce and HubSpot up to date
  • Support the sales process by creating proposals, contracts, and helping with the early-stage implementation of group deals as needed
  • Research board dates and be proactive with outreach to create urgency with prospective clients

Help Us Learn

  • Help us use the data in Salesforce and HubSpot to optimize the sales process
  • Contribute to improving our sales and marketing processes to help us close more customers, faster, so we can help even more schools and organizations.

About You

You’re the ideal candidate if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of comparable selling experience with SaaS-based, software applications or education technology solutions
  • A track-record of developing winning account plans, use of account-based marketing, consultative and/or solution-selling sales discipline, and exceeding $500K+ verifiable annual sales quota
  • Experience in building high-trust executive decision-maker relationships, quickly developing opportunities into sales wins, by gaining client’s commitment to act based on value created / return on investment
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect and sell effectively in a virtual office environment
  • Experience (or familiarity) with charter schools’ executive leadership, charter school groups, K12 education, and/or public charter school boards is a plus

  • You have the lifestyle and temperament to work at a remote, tech company. You are motivated and love to work independently with limited supervision.
  • You have a lifestyle that allows for working from a home office while interacting professionally over video with customers.

Experience and Skills

  • 1-3 years of SaaS experience in customer-facing, account management role.
  • Extremely tech savvy, comfort with, HubSpot and other commonly used tech tools that support scaling a customer success program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, a good listener, ability to understand customer needs.
  • Action-oriented, persistent, focused on results and analytical with strong project management skills.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
