What you will be doing:

KickUp is looking for a dynamic Account Executive for a territory that will cover school districts ranging from 5,000 – 80,000 students in a few key states. Primarily working out of our office in Philadelphia, you will be a source of growth and expansion for KickUp’s client base. This role is responsible for qualifying, developing, and moving leads through our sales cycle. On any given day, you’ll be holding demos, exploring new leads, and initiating communication with prospective clients. You will be expected to develop an understanding of your assigned school district’s needs and “pain points.” You will build relationships with decision makers, understand their challenges and educate them about the solutions that KickUp’s product provides them.


  • Develop robust enterprise pipeline.
  • Achieve sales goals to drive revenue growth.
  • Execute to the company strategy and plan.
  • Understand pain points and thus opportunities with various customer buyers to present the product as a solution.
  • Build relationships with decision makers to gain their support and commitment to use the product.
  • Effectively negotiate contracts ensuring growth.
  • Be detail-oriented and track opportunities in the pipeline.
  • Develop customer call strategies to interact with gatekeepers in order to gain access to senior-level buyers and key decision makers.
  • Bring an entrepreneurial spirit to your work, improving processes and outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a sense of ownership and pride in both personal and company performance.
  • Have a team player attitude and contribute by working effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2 -3 years of experience in K-12 education (teaching, ed tech, sales, or any other concentrations) AND/OR
  • Professional development experience AND/OR
  • 2+ years in professional sales, with enterprise sales experience as a plus.
  • Must be able to regularly commute to our office in Philadelphia.
  • An initiator and self-starter, with a hunger to learn.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship skills.
  • Google App proficiency.
  • Have a clear sense of purpose as to why you are in education and sales, and be excited about the company’s mission to improve teacher’s classroom productivity, and student’s classroom experience.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in the field traveling 50% of the time.

Our product is sold as an enterprise sale into school districts, county education offices, or education agencies, and is used to collect and analyze data for grades K-12. Our Account Executives work with Directors of Professional Development, Superintendents, Asst. Superintendents for Curriculum and Instruction, Directors of Curriculum and Instruction, and Chief Academic Officers to identify their needs and educate them on this new platform which will solve questions about the efficiency of the budget going into PD.
