We are on a mission to bring inquiry-based learning to all students, and we need your help. We are looking for a relational, organized Account Executive that believes in the power of more student-centered learning. Working directly with both inbound leads and outbound target accounts, the Account Executive will guide district leaders through the process of choosing an Elementary Social Studies curriculum that will fundamentally transform how teachers teach and how students learn.
We are a scrappy underdog competing head to head against big textbook companies for district level adoptions (and often winning!). We have to be nimble, constantly refining and improving how we market and sell our unique product. Whether it’s researching how to connect with teachers at a committee presentation, supporting a semester-long pilot, or partnering with the district leader to prepare for a school board presentation - we strive to meet educators exactly where they are. And when we win…we get to feel the joy of actually making an impact on districts - helping them ensure every student has access to an education that engages and inspires them.
In this role, you will:
- Develop empathy for our customers by deeply understanding their needs and the value that our paid products can bring to their specific district
- Effectively utilize Hubspot to track outreach and opportunities, and submit forecasts monthly
- Build long-term relationships with outbound target accounts via phone, email and in-person meetings
- Manage a pipeline of inbound leads, providing a consultative sales approach to prospective customers through expert level knowledge of inquirED’s curriculum
- Develop your own key results to use as milestones as we work towards a team revenue goal
Requirements
- Classroom and School/District Administrator experience highly preferred
- 1-2 years experience in partner/customer facing role, ideally at K-12 curriculum or edtech company highly preferred
- Understanding of how districts and the people that work in them operate
- Fantastic written and interpersonal communication skills
- Deep listening skills and you strive to fully understand and address customers’ needs - as well as the vision or concerns behind those needs
- Highly relational and persistent - not afraid to keep at it with prospects
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized and track progress
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment
- A willingness to be scrappy, creative, and unconventional

U.S. based applicants only.
The base compensation range for this role is $80,000-110,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a full benefits package. This compensation range and title may be adjusted based on actual experience.
