Account Executive - Field, New York-Upstate/East

*This role is remote, however will require a candidate to reside near and commit to travel in upstate/northeast New York areas (Albany, Syracuse) 

Job Overview:

Learning A-Z is hiring a new Account Executive with excellent sales and organizational skills that values teamwork, a fast-changing environment, and mutual respect and willing to jump in with a whatever it takes attitude to ensure the success of our sales teams. Location: Remote, USA; Must live local to the New York-Upstate/East area

Job Requirements:

  • Use sales techniques to develop and otherwise pursue new and expansion sales opportunities in the territory through: phone calls, in-person presentations, web-based demonstrations, and email campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting.
  • Provide sales quotes and proposals to customers.
  • Bring, build, and maintain product expertise and industry knowledge.
  • Use Salesforce.com CRM and other data management tools to keep track of all active opportunities. Update daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Partner with Account Executive - Inside to build strategy for goal achievement and territory management.
  • Contribute as teammate and peer to other Account Executive - Field roles in the region.
  • Support product marketing activities to help generate leads and opportunities.
  • Attend regional conferences as agreed upon with your manager.
  • Attend national conferences that may occur in the territory.
  • Consistently achieve predetermined territory goals.
  • Demonstrate professionalism across various work environments.
  • Be able to travel up to 50% of the time during peak selling season.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Education, special education, or related background is preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate and sell an online, digital product/solution.
  • Minimum 3+ years of success in K-12 sales; demonstrated success in both literacy curriculum and educational technology sales preferred.
  • Experience in public speaking with exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience using database management systems. Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using online meeting technology.
  • Ability to work well in a high-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license, a good driving record.
  • Prior experience selling to school- and district-level literacy curriculum decision-makers and influencers in the elementary K12 market.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com for forecasting and tracking opportunities.
