About the Role

Your Other Half's client, Let Grow, is seeking a passionate and creative individual to lead the national expansion of Let Grow programs into K-8 classrooms, schools and school districts. The Account Executive will be responsible for getting teachers and principals to adopt the Let Grow Project, a free curriculum that encourages independence as a critical part of growing up. The ideal candidate will be comfortable setting and meeting KPIs, have a willingness to contribute to productization of the curriculum, be able to set-up, develop and manage a digital sales pipeline, have comfort engaging with colleagues to optimize social media and online content to drive pipeline engagement, and have demonstrated prior experience working with teachers and administrators to implement curricular change. This role can be based in New York City, or be a remote, work-from-home position.

The Account Executive will be responsible for the following activities:

Relationship & pipeline development, including:

    • Generate and build a lead pipeline through existing relationships and networking;
    • Establish and sustain relationships with teachers, principals and school administrators who have the power to easily adopt the program;
    • Identify, prospect and close key partnerships national associations and educational organizations;
    • Garner keynote speaking opportunities at national educational or key regional events for the President, and attend such events to engage fans;
    • Develop and implement an outreach strategy including direct mail, email, social media, educational publications, and conferences;
    • Pitch our programs to potential customers and stakeholders, including teachers, parents and school board members, from initial contact through curricular adoption; and
    • Set annual development targets and success metrics in alliance with the Executive Director to meet or exceed goals.
    • Collateral, tool and curricular development, including:
    • With the collaboration of other team members, selecting and setting up tools needed for digital pipeline, such as a CRM and webinar platform;
    • Collect feedback from prospects and share with the team in order to augment existing Let Grow Programs with curated instructional resources to ensure ease of adoption by teachers and schools, and participate and provide feedback in the development process;
    • Develop collateral, including print, web and video assets to support the adoption of the Let Grow Project with in schools, in cooperation with the editorial and design team members; and
    • Work with the Communications Director to craft relevant and persuasive content for online distribution which encourages the promotion and adoption of Let Grow programs in schools by teachers.

About the Candidate

A strong candidate will have the following skills, experiences and abilities:

  • At least 8 years of experience in one of these roles:
    • K-8 education as a teacher, administrator, para-professional; or
    • K-8 edtech or curricular sales, selling to districts, administrators or teachers;
  • A self-starter with a passion for K-8 education, child development, and a belief in the need to develop the whole child;
  • Knowledgeable about digital business development, prospecting, and marketing tactics and best practices, and a demonstrated ability to prospect online;
  • A knack for problem-solving, and an unflappable constitution under pressure;
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage contractors, consultants and temporary staff with ease;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to tailor those skills to a variety of different audiences;
  • Work well under pressure; ability to prioritize amongst multiple, competing responsibilities, and have exceptional time-management skills;
  • Service-oriented and a team player; display positive “can-do” attitude;
  • Keen attention to detail;
  • Ability to exercise good judgement and independent decision making;
  • Demonstrated fluency with the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite for Business, CRMs and project management softwares; and
  • An open-minded, curious personality that likes working with all people and seeking solutions.

The ideal candidate will have these additional skills, experiences and abilities:

  • Expert on national education standards, current education pedagogy and market trends; and
  • Prior work in the academic world and/or a non-profit organization a plus.
