Description:

Learnerbly is a team of entrepreneurs and innovators on a mission to redefine learning and development in the workplace. We aim to give every person the opportunity to be their best selves at work. We’re just getting started but so far we’ve already help businesses like ustwo, Vouchercodes and IDEO to find the best learning opportunities to accelerate the growth of their people.

Learnerbly is beginning a new phase of product development and is looking to hire a passionate front-end developer to join our technology team. Developing on top of Facebook’s ‘ReactJS’ framework, the ideal candidate should be familiar with ReactJS and the surrounding toolset and ecosystem. This knowledge may come as professional experience or personal research but you will be expected to speak knowledgeably about the state of the art with respect to web based UI development. We like ‘geeks, and your ‘geek’ credentials are more important to us than your professional or educational experience. Show us your personal projects, tell us what you like and what you don’t like, about interesting things you have read, projects you have been involved with, people you have met and what you have learned.

We like all of our developers to be ‘full-stack’, so front-end specialism is purely to bring this experience to the wider team. Expect to be involved in all areas of our software development, including backend and devops. Share with us your front end ‘chops’ and we’ll share our experience with you.

The project is new and the team is small so you can also expect to be involved in making significant, material decisions from day 1. The role would particularly suit a candidate who feels they are ready to make an impact and wants to accelerate towards technology leadership.

Areas of responsibility:

1) Help us to develop our learning and development platform.

2) Bring front-end (preferably ReactJS) skills to the team.

3) Help us to define our product in terms of features and development priorities.

4) Support the rest of the team with tooling and technical operations support.

5) Build our company culture with us.

Requirements:

By far the most important requirement is that you have a strong passion for building great software systems. Candidates with strong professional experience will be preferred (especially experience working in a start-up environment), but what really matters is a passion for building things. We want people who enjoy what they do, and we know how to spot it. If you think this describes you, get in touch.

Benefits:

You’ll share a fun and dynamic learning environment with proven entrepreneurs and thought leaders. We’re passionate about learning and development and will do everything we can to maximise your personal and career growth. You’ll also receive:

  • A competitive salary
  • Equity
  • A generous learning budget
  • The opportunity to learn from senior advisors from Google, Eventbrite and The Times
  • Access to a vast network of 7000+ organisations across the United Kingdom
