We continue to grow at an elevated pace and are seeking an experienced Channel Sales Executive to join our team. The Channel Sales Executive will lead our sales development efforts to our existing and potential new channel resellers. This position will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Sales and will be accountable for the overall growth of channel sales for Certica. The person in this role will take our existing successful program to the next level by evaluating current resellers, developing account plans, creating unique strategies, and recruiting additional partners as needed. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the software or K-12 education industries running and growing channel sales through a programmatic approach with multiple types of products.

While it is preferred that this position be in either of our Wakefield, MA or Austin, TX or Cincinnati, OH offices, telecommuting from another location in the United States will also be considered.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate current reselling partner relationships and determine a go forward plan with each;
  • Determine and recruit additional resellers that could be instrumental to Certica’s growth;
  • Perform annual account reviews;
  • Create and execute on strategic plans for each reseller;
  • Communicate the vision and value proposition of Certica’s solution to multiple levels at a partner;
  • Maintain 95% renewal rate of end customer transactions;
  • Continuously train existing resellers;
  • Develop incentive plans for channel sales teams;
  • Create tiers of partners and develop programs for each level of tiers;
  • 30 to 40% travel expected.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role for an education, application or software-as-a-service (SaaS) company;
  • Proven ability to grow a sales channel;
  • Excellent ability to influence key stakeholders throughout a reselling partner’s organization;
  • Capable of thinking strategically and creatively while also executing quickly and pragmatically;
  • Ability to creatively and thoughtfully solve problems;
  • Solid in-person customer-facing skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both internally and externally with partners;
  • Significant experience using Microsoft Office products to produce proposals, presentations, trainings and programs to demonstrate product value to channel partners;
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking ability;
  • Experience using Salesforce is highly desirable;
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
