Job Description

This role is paramount to our success; you’ll be leading our sales teams in exploring uncharted territory and building relationships with schools and districts across the country helping SchoolMint grow from 3000+ schools to 100,000+ schools. You and your team will be connecting with K-12 superintendents, CTOs, and other district, charter school and independent school officials to learn about their most pressing enrollment and school choice initiatives. You’ll use every opportunity to talk with them about insights from data, making SchoolMint come to life through a customized demo, and painting a picture of how SchoolMint can save a lot of money and add efficiency by digitizing their student enrollment, student registration, school choice processes and improving all their parent-school interactions. As the leader of our sales team, you will be establishing all our sales processes, playbooks, and best practices and will be building a talented inside and field sales team to fuel SchoolMint’s growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Scale and lead a team of SDRs, AEs, and Field Sales Executives and provide hands-on management from discovery through close
  • Meet and exceed quarterly revenue targets by managing the sales funnel from lead to close
  • Accurately forecast revenues and other success metrics on a monthly basis
  • Build repeatable sales processes making it easy to onboard new team members and to consistently monitor the business
  • Develop Sales Playbook (pitches, process, scripts, anti-FUD, best practices and learning)
  • Develop an individual coaching plan for each sales team member
  • Develop key metrics to measure AE(s) and SDR(s)
  • Structure the organization of the sales team to maximize the energy and efforts of each individual contributor
  • Close big-name or big value deals in conjunction with the owning representative
  • Work closely with marketing, product management, and engineering on setting and executing growth strategy
  • Report to executive team, board, and investors on revenue goals, metrics objectives, and progress


This job is for you if you have:

  • 6+ years of experience in a sales role
  • 3+ years of experience managing SAAS sales teams
  • Track record of building successful sales teams and processes and of exceeded sales quota
  • Ability to “roll up sleeves” and be scrappy.
  • Experience selling a SaaS B2B products to mid-market and enterprise companies
  • Fast company experience--experience acting quickly and building smartly in a small company environment
  • A “Get Stuff Done” attitude and willingness to change processes and methods as we evolve
  • Fearlessness with trying new ideas, concepts, and be wrong (learning from the experience)
  • Ability to work in San Francisco, CA and travel as needed
  • Desire to work with top talent and an unwillingness to compromise
  • A Bachelor’s degree from a business or related field
  • Solid Quantitative skills and are KPI driven

  • Experience selling SAAS software to k-12 education or other similar verticals
  • A strong network of previous colleagues who you can draw on to build out the team
  • Experience with Salesforce, Yesware and Pardot
  • A genuine passion for helping to improve education
