The Inside Sales Consultant is responsible for selling print and digital programs to US schools and districts. The Inside Sales Consultant will reach prospective customers through excellent telephone sales and communication skills.
Responsibilities • Manage a territory by penetrating targeted accounts and grow sales from within the existing client base. • Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process. • Cold-call and email prospects that are generated by external sources of lead as well through the self-generating of leads, the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and the establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers. Self-motivation, competitiveness, and passion are essential for this role. You will get the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with colleagues that are driven to succeed. Qualifications • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong listening skills and presentation skills • Ability to build strong rapport, establish trust and credibility through a consultative approach, and balance assertive sales follow-up without being overly aggressive • A self-starter who can effectively work individually as well as within a strong team culture • Time Management skills -- able to manage multiple priorities effectively • Proven ability to close business via phone • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas. • Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management. • Self-motivated, with high energy and engaging level of enthusiasm. • Ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits. • Bachelor’s degree Compensation: Salary plus a generous commission program, with no cap
