Business Systems Analyst and Special Projects

Summit’s Tech Team is hiring! We are looking for a team oriented Business Systems Analyst for Summit Public Schools. The role requires strong communications, excellent collaboration skills, exceptional process and documentation skills. The successful candidate will be able to translate business logic, processes, and mapping to Salesforce. The candidate will also work on special projects. This position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer with a dotted line to the Director of Technology and works both onsite and remotely.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Engages, gathers and synthesizes new business processes from salesforce stakeholders
  • Identify other teams salesforce business needs and create partner engagement
  • Participates in current consulting engagement and collaboration
  • Executes approved business logic and transforms into salesforce requirements
  • Creates and schedules training for new processes and salesforce enhancements for stakeholders
  • Provides expert level assistance to all salesforce users
  • Identifies business logic gaps and provides identifiable solutions
  • Works closely with salesforce administrator and project managers
  • Recommends technical applications to improve usability of salesforce
  • Gathers feedback on effectiveness of salesforce use
  • Creates, established processes and documents change management requests
  • Works on other special projects


  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Consulting experience is a plus
  • Project management
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Effective communicator
  • Strong business logic and process design
  • Strong research skills and willingness to deeply understand data privacy and policy
  • Experience training others
  • Ability to interpret and translate user business process and logic

  • Able to represent Summit Public Schools in a variety of professional environments
  • Has a driver’s license and is able to travel to Summit’s schools throughout the Bay Area
