Product Manager

BrightBytes - San Francisco, CA - Full time


As a Product Manager at BrightBytes, you'll join a growing Product and Engineering team to innovate and develop new educational data products that help educators improve student outcomes. Product Managers are responsible for working with all areas of the company to own the success of their products. In a given day, you might contribute to the interaction design of a data chart, optimize an internal data pipeline workflow or coordinate detailed delivery timelines with the Client Partnership team. This is a core role for a self-driven and flexible team player.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic initiatives within the organization on new business opportunities
  • Gather complex and detailed feedback from Customer Success, Sales and external stakeholders to prioritize major/minor updates to owned product areas
  • Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams define the scope and functionality of new products
  • Own the end-to-end outcomes for BrightBytes’ internal tooling and customer-facing modules from conception to post-launch
  • Produce and maintain documentation for different stakeholder groups (Engineering, Customer Success, Tutorials, etc.)
  • Maintain roadmap for future feature enhancements and bug fixes
  • Define product success metrics, monitor those metrics and align actions with business goals
  • Solve problems logically and critically, and with a cool head
  • Lead team meetings with appropriate preparation, attitude and leadership
  • Clearly and openly communicate with key customers regarding platform support for requests

Major Pluses

  • Demonstrated knowledge of K-12, EdTech and/or School Administration
  • Hands-on experience managing data integration operations and tooling infrastructure
  • Solid technical understanding of software platform architecture including APIs, SQL, Data ETL, Data Stores, Git, etc.
