1823 - Senior Administrative Analyst - Department of Technology

As the 1823 Senior Administrative Analyst, you will report to the Director of Operations and Administration and, under supervision, will perform general administrative functions with rotating assignments. As a member of the Department of Technology, you will be part of the transformational work to deliver on the promises outlined in both Transform Learning. Transform Lives. as well as our long-term, city-wide North Star, Vision 2025.

We expect our 1823 Senior Administrative Analyst will:

  • Contract management - especially process management and being a single point of accountability
  • Budget management - especially measuring our yearly activity and planning for the future
  • Internal policy and compliance for payroll, invoices, and asset management

Desired Qualifications

The strongest candidates will have:

  • Knowledge of San Francisco’s public schools/urban public schools and a passionate belief in
  • SFUSD’s commitment to instructional leadership as a lever toward delivering on the SFUSD Graduate Profile
  • A strong record of managing organizational change and initiating key innovations
  • Strong analytic and systems thinking necessary to interpret data to inform goals and strategy
  • Contract management and negotiation
  • Leveraging State Master Contracts and piggybacking in accordance with procurement statutes
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and roles within a complex organization
  • A proven record of effectively planning, organizing and using resources to take action and achieve goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with senior level district staff and colleagues
  • Success leading effective teams and individuals
  • Experience and success with effective written and verbal communication, facilitation and presentations to large groups and a variety of audiences (e.g., staff meetings, executive briefings, public board meetings, memos)
  • Ability to work effectively in difficult situations that involve confidential and sensitive matters
  • Strong computer skills including Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms) and Microsoft
  • Office Suite ( Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public or business administration, accounting, finance, economics, social sciences, education, or related field, or other areas closely related to specific department program or function.

Substitution: May substitute up to two (2) years of the required education with additional qualifying experience in program/office/operations management, budget development and/or administration, or contract/grant administration. One year (2000 hours) of additional qualifying experience will be considered equivalent to 30 semester units/45 quarter units.

SFUSD offers a competitive salary of $94,087.34 - $114,396.46 commensurate with experience in a similar position.
