ABOUT PowerMyLearning

PowerMyLearning uses digital learning to fight educational inequity and ensure students in lowincome communities have similar firstrate learning experiences as their peers in wealthy communities. Our approach to digital learning is unusually peoplecentered. Our work fosters growth in teachers as instructional leaders; in parents as support partners; and in students as learners who can meet the challenge of high academic standards and also discern which learning strategies work best for them. To accomplish our goals, we engage in deep partnerships with selected highpoverty schools in five regions of the country and provide teachers with intensive coaching and provide student and parents with devices and training. We are now taking our learnings from this regional effort and spreading them nationwide through our service offerings for schools, districts, and afterschool hubs. Underlying our work is PowerMyLearning connect, our free webbased platform, which is already in use in 30% of school communities across the nation (representing all income levels) and is growing fast. PowerMyLearning has demonstrated significant impact on student academic achievement and love of learning, as well as on teacher instructional practices and parental confidence. PowerMyLearning’s national office is based in New York City. The five regions in which we operate are: Atlanta, New York City, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Santa Barbara.
