The Impact of Blockchain on the Future of Education

Online May 21 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm - Eastern Time (US & Canada)

Price: Free

Advances in technology provide an opportunity to conceive alternative futures for education. In this free webinar, Dr. Wu will examine how the judicious application of blockchain technology could lead to dramatically different interactions among students, faculty, administrators, regulators and politicians, as well as every kind of organization in the education ecosystem.

He’ll discuss the fundamental moral choice embodied in the blockchain technology — the implicit agreement among multiple parties to share information for the benefit of all, and examine: How can this be accomplished? What risk factors need to be addressed? What challenges are being turned into opportunities by people with an entrepreneurial mindset? What is the current state-of-thinking in this direction and who are the most adventurous explorers?

Participants will leave the webinar with an understanding how blockchain technology works and different ways it might be applied to enhance education in the future.
